Sorry, blog. I've neglected you as of lately!

My life is pretty much the same since I last wrote on you.

School's dead and making me waste a good 50 hours of my precious time every week. But I suppose that's just the way the cookie crumbles.

Photography, on the other hand is going great. I've worked loads lately on a TF base, just making my portfolio look decent. I am thinking of charging from now on and being more selective when it comes to testing! I have a good share of project in my mind so do keep an eye out. I have a very *weird* mind, I love reading about/watching films about/listening to music about depressive, drugged-out, disturbed people, serial killers, etc. and I'd like to show this on my work a bit more.

Oh, and it was my birthday on November 1st. One year older, or one more year less younger, rather.

Anyway, the shoots!

Shoot with Pablo Solano @ Higher Models (October 12)

It went great, quite possibly one of my favourite shoots ever. I often hear it's harder to photograph men than to photograph women but I guess I totally disproved that. Pictures came out emotional yet high-fashion. I'm extremely pleased with the results!

Shoot with Lorena Jaimes (October 17)

This shoot wasn't so good as it started raining, stupid weather! But some of the final images are quite good. I met her sister also who is a model as well and she was the funniest person ever! My cousin Ana came along and they really hitted off whilst Lorena and me were shooting.

Shoot with Claudia Bodington (October 18)

Claudia came from Cincinnati for holidays and we had the chance to do a brief shoot! We went to a cemetery. I haven't got behind the scenes from this shoot, unfortunately :/

Shoot with Dion (October 23)

I went to Monterrey and had a shoot with potential, up-and-coming model Dion. My dad drove us to the locations (thanks, dad!). We shoot three different looks on three different locations. Success! I had to get into a river though, water was up to my waist! Oh, what us photographers do to get the perfect photo!

Afterwards, we went to the café Dion works at (www.oshimai.com) and dad and me ate there, food is so yummy!

Shoot with Doris & Maria (October 24)

The day after, I had another shoot, we went to three different locations and managed to shoot 1 different looks in a few hours time. We took pictures with ponies, on a boat, in some waterfalls (yet again, I got into the water, aaahhh) and some English restaurant called Woodstock. I was sooo tired and had a flight right afterwards, and school the very next day, brilliant!

Shoot with Irving Olvera (November 7)

It was a brief shoot, but photos came out quite good. I'm still working on them, will show soon! :)

I had a shoot with Aggie today, it went GREAT! We had been wanting to work together since months ago, but we couldn't back in time because we lived so far away! But now that we are living closer, we FINALLY did our shoot and it was really cool (ignoring the fact we didn't take much pictures because Mexico City's crappy weather ruined it and decided it wanted it do rain, grr). We managed to shoot two looks, but the second one, we didn't really take much photos but we are doing a shoot again sometime soon and using that look too, as it was really cool :)

Her boyfriend came along with her and they were both really cool, her bf made it easier because he carried around our stuff lol, and he also took some behind the scenes photos! yay! :D

Bye Bye Mty

So right now I'm about to finish packing my stuff (taking a small break right now), I'm moving to Mexico City Wednesday, tomorrow my house will be completely empty (which could be cool for a shoot!). To be honest the only thing I'm going to miss from this city are my friends, can't say I'll miss the weather.. it's too hot! and I do fill like the move to Mexico City is going to benefit me as a photographer as most models and MUAS are based there and I've already got tons of contacts, etc. But I am pretty sad because I love my friends :(

But anyway, this is meant to be a blog about my photography lol, so better talk about my most recent shoots!

On August 7 I had a shoot with Cedrick Monjour (I'd worked with him twice before) he is from Paris and he definitely has potential to become a well-know model. I don't have behind the scenes photos from this shoot, sorry! But these are some of the finished photos (still got tons to edit):

I was supposed to have a shoot with a lovely girl called Dion the 8th, I met up with her at a coffee house she works at a few days before, but some things got in the way and the shoot did not occur, I was really disappointed, but maybe and hopefully I'll get to shoot with her when I come up to Monterrey to visit!

The 9th I had a shoot with Alexandra and Charbel, we went to Barrio Antiguo, a really old area in Monterrey, we thought it would be a cool place to shoot vintage photos. We also went to a coffee place called 13 Lunas, it was amazing, the whole place was full of creative things, drawings, etc. We asked if we could shoot there and they let us, they were really nice! :D

I've been shooting loads this month, and also learning new things about photography :D

last Monday I had a shoot with Luisa and Maria. They stayed over at my place the night before and we watched Harry Potter and stuff haha. It was really cool.

And then after the shoot, I got home, and.. surprise party! haha :D thanks guys, really, I'm gonna miss you so much :(

Sorry about the lack of updates!

I've had three shoots since I last wrote in here. One was on July 15 with French model Cedrick Monjour, I haven't got behind the scenes photos from this one, but was a really cool shoot, location was the rooftop of a building, and guess what? we got locked outside haha!

Next shoot was on July 20th, with Cedrick again. I was feeling really sick that day and my camera went all weird, but I do like how the photos turned out.

And the next shoot was today, with my friend Maria and Natali assisting. The theme of the shoot was Malice in Wonderland! Woohoo! We're going back to that location Saturday, because we still have loads of ideas but we were so tired and the sun was unbearable!

Train fashion shooth

Had a shoot yesterday. It was so cool, I'm really pleased with the photos, still got loads to edit though!

We shot in two locations - an abandoned train and some sort of abandoned little house. Thanks so much to Luisa, Brenda, and Natali. Also, thanks so my dad for taking us there and helping us out!

Haha, before leaving to the shoot.. awww, my poor dog, i just love mocking him :D

"Muddy" shoot

Had a test shoot yesterday with Jessie Vance. She's a really cool girl from Georgia who came to Mexico for the summer :).

So the weather has been soooo hot lately, and today, it thought it'd be a cool idea to rain. Bless haha. It wasn't actually raining at the shoot, but it was really muddy and messy.

I was looking for a cool place to shoot in and was walking down a little hill and fell down, I slipped all the way down :/ haha.

So anyaway, I am editing the photos right now. Just got two behind the scenes photos from this shoot.

Location-scouting.

I went location scouting yesterday with my dad and my brother. We went to a little town called García and I found some really cool places to shoot at. A destroyed house that's (I'm reckoning) at least 100 years old, and some interesting things on the highway. These are some photos I took and keep an eye out for forthcoming photos (with models and obviously more fashionable) taken in this places!

That's about it. I haven't had a shoot for a while now and I miss it terribly, I've been so lazy and uninspired lately :/

P.S. - Donkeys are evil creatures (don't ask).

Newspaper Dress Shoot & Another Shoot the Day After

I think this has been my most successful shoot so far. Plus, it was such a cool day!

We made a dress out of newspaper. To be honest I wasn't sure it was going to turn out so good!

These are some photos of the making of the dress:

We did part of the dress at my house and had to finish it at the shooting place as it would have been destroyed by the time had got there..

The Shoot the Day After

We went to a park (Maria, Mylene, Ale, and Me). They stayed at my place to sleep and we watched films, etc :)

That's Maria, after taking a few photos.. she said the rocks were comfy haha.

Have to admit this - this shoot was probably the most unorganised shoot on earth! We didn't have a clue of where we were gonna take the photos. We just started walking around until we stumbled across a beautiful park, it was defo a wicked location to shoot at!

Maria's feet were aching, so Natali carried her all the way home lmao!

Ah! Forgot this one haha.

After shooting, we were a tad bit tired, and Maria said the leaves were quite comfortable, so this is her chilling after a long day haha

September 30, 2008. Harlequin / Oriental / Faerie shoot.

Last year' shoot, I know it's OLD, but I got loads of behind the scenes photos from this shoot and think it's worth writing about!

Maria and Mylene were the models, Natali was assisting. Mylene's dad came with us as he is also into photography, and so did Mylene's little sister, Zamantha, who lent us an uber cool harlequin costume!

The setting was at a beautiful park, it's quite big, full of nature, and it's got a river which was out first shooting location!

Then we moved on to a green area, Mylene got changed to a blue Japanese dress I bought from Ebay a while back. There was a small tree and a rock that made the area look like a Japanese setting (at least to me!) so that lead to some really cool ideas!

Ok, so..

then we moved on to another area, which was also really cool

October 5, 2008. Church shoot.

The weekend after the shoot I just wrote about, my mate Luisa's parents were kind enough to take us to a small village out of town, can't remember its name, though! It was pretty cool, there were cool buildings there and a church, we spent all day there and had loads of fun!

I created this blog a while ago, but I could never be arsed to actually write on it..

I'm uber bored right now and thought it'd be fun to finally write something on here!

So I basically created this blog to document my photoshoots, write a little about them, and post some behind the pictures!

Got loads of stuff to show, so I will be writing quite A LOT here for the next few days. I do realise that no one is going to read this, but it will be fun to come back and read about them in a few years, won't it?!
